They’re calling it the “shot heard around the country” in reference to the “shot heard around the world” fired by an unknown soldier that began the battle of Lexington-Concord, signaling the start of the revolutionary war in April 1775. Anxiously Waiting
The Republican establishment is anxiously awaiting the upcoming elections. Pundits are all over talk radio speculating as to which Democrats are vulnerable and who’s likely to be the next to retire. They’re all chomping at the bit to see which party will be in control after the November elections. They’re missing the point. Parties don’t matter, America matters. We’ve been betrayed by both parties. (more…)

November Cometh
Several months ago a friend of mine gave me a couple of bumper stickers he had custom-made that said something to the effect, “Vote Them All Out”. I can’t quote directly from the sticker, because I gave them away. I didn’t keep them for two reasons; one, I thought the message was the wrong one; and two, I don’t put bumber stickers on my car. I thanked him and told him why I wouldn’t use them. He forgave me for the second reason, but not quite for the first. To this day, he insists we should vote them all out.
Well, if he’s reading this, I want to let him know that I admit to being wrong. (more…)
